Invitations will be sent out to those who were selected in the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) lottery beginning today. In the next few days, the total number of people who have completed an interest form to sponsor an application will receive a phone call. After you’ve been invited to join the PGP, get started!
Many foreigners choose to sponsor their parents and grandparents through the program. For many people from other countries, sponsoring relatives is a popular choice. Canada is proud of family reunions for this reason.
Due to COVID-19, the Canada Immigration family class lottery draw date was delayed until 2021. The initial timetable had been for the draw to occur by the end of December 2020, but several factors have caused delays.
The IRCC began sending invites to prospective parents and grandparent sponsors in January 2021. Then, in this round, they started processing around 10,000 applications after the previous one got delayed. The Parents Sponsorship Canada 2021 is described in more detail below.
When will Parent Sponsorship be Open in 2021?
More than 10,000 applications are anticipated to be submitted for the PGP in 2020. It is expected that 2021 will be a significant year for the PGP. In 2021, Canada is expected to send as many as 40,000 invites. This was the initial intention; however, coronavirus-related delays have pushed back the date that invitations would be distributed until this year.
The Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) will not be available until 2021. After that, residents or citizens of Canada or Canadian permanent residents wanting to sponsor their parents or grandparents for a trip to the country must complete an interest form online.
What Did The Parents’ Sponsorship Results Look Like? Canada the 2021 lottery results?
The Parents and Grandparent Program does not provide lottery results to the general public. The only method for a participant to find out that they have been invited to join Canada PR is through your email address.
When will PGP Reopen?
For 2020, the deadline to submit your PGP expression of interest was October 13 and November 3. The IRCC has not declared when the PGP submission window will reopen.
In 2020, a lottery was launched for the first time. It ran from October 13th to November 3rd (3 weeks), which means that those who wish to participate must obtain their tickets as soon as possible! This year, only 10,000 people will be chosen from the pool of applicants to be sponsors for their families.
Some aren’t happy with the prospect of converting the program into a genuine lottery, but there’s a reasonable explanation: The federal government is temporarily lowering the amount one must earn to be considered a sponsor. This is due to the fact that the COVID-19 disease has damaged many families.
How to Play the Lottery
The first step in sponsoring your grandparent or parent through the lottery process is to fill out an interest in sponsoring your family for 2020 on the application. Between October 13 and November 3, 2018, this form was accessible on the Canadian Government’s website.
How to Fill out the Form
The form for sponsor interest must be completed by the sponsor of the applicant. You can modify your personal information at any time if you make a mistake on the application. The facts you provide on the form must be consistent with those in your application. After you submit an interesting request, you will receive a confirmation code that you may not disclose.
After You’ve Submitted Your Interest Form
After you’ve submitted an interest application, it’s critical to keep track of the confirmation number and then look through your email for an invitation to submit your application. After officials have analyzed the submissions and eliminated duplicate applications, invitations will be sent.
Tips to keep in mind when waiting to be invited:
- Make sure you check your email on the form to express your interest.
- Check your junk mail or your spam folder
- Let officials know if your email address has changed.
- If You’re Invited to Apply, please do so.
If you’re asked to submit a sponsorship application and you are invited to apply, you must complete your sponsorship application in the timeframe of sixty days (the deadline is stated on the invitation). If you submit your application late the application will be rejected and you will not be able to apply for or accept an invitation to apply for another one.
If You’re Not Invited to Apply, you are not eligible to apply.
Don’t give up hope! Your grandparent or parent might be able to obtain a Super Visa, which would allow them to stay in Canada for up to two years at a time. They could also apply for an extension of their visa for up to one year at once.
Need Help with Your Application?
It’s impossible to guess when the next grandparent or parental date will be announced. You don’t want to miss out on this chance! If you’re chosen in the lottery, make sure you prepare ahead of time. Immigration authorities are often picky about lottery draws, so it’s a good idea to get advice from an immigration attorney.
