"Shameless liar"- Politician Babatunde Gbadamosi calls out Funke Akindele
  • Funke Akindele is at the center of a sensational drama involving Babatunde Gbadamosi and his ex-wife, Sade Balogun Gbadamosi
  • In a dramatic twist, Gbadamosi took to social media to air his grievances against Akindele after she publicly credited Sade for her career success

Babatunde Gbadamosi, the businessman and former governorship candidate for the Action Democratic Party in the 2019 Lagos State gubernatorial election, has unleashed a blistering attack on Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, branding her a shameless liar for her recent claims about Sade Balogun.

This fiery outburst comes after Funke’s recent claims at an event, where she lauded Sade Balogun—formerly Sade Gbadamosi—as the key figure behind her rise in the entertainment industry.

In her heartfelt speech, Funke recounted the pivotal moments when Sade supported her, notably during the filming of her iconic TV series, Jenifa’s Diary, and how she provided financial backing for the blockbuster film Omo Ghetto: The Saga.

However, Gbadamosi’s response shattered the narrative, as he detailed how his sister had intervened to influence his decisions regarding the actress and her involvement with his business ventures.

He recalled contemplating making comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, the ambassador for Amen Estate but ultimately changed his mind due to his sister’s discussions with Funke during a celebrity visit.

Gbadamosi wrote in parts;

“I blame my younger sister, @iyaeto for @Funkeakindele’s nauseating ingratitude and shameless lies. I was going to give the Amen Estate ambassadorship to AY.

“My sister started pressuring me to give her the ambassador role, since she was our “àbúrò” from back home. That she was married to Abdul-Rasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, also counted in her favour, because I had been a big fan of his since around 2003,”

With a fierce determination to set the record straight, Gbadamosi vehemently asserted that it was he, not Sade, who financed Ọmọ Ghetto: The Saga.
