Security operatives ‘kill notorious bandit leader’ in Zamfara

  • President Bola Tinubu commended the Nigerian Army on September 14 for their successful counter-insurgency operations in the north-west
  • He urged persistence until all threats are eradicated.

Security forces neutralized notorious bandit leader Kachalla Makore and several of his fighters in Zamfara’s Magami area on September 23, according to Zagazola Makama, a security publication.

Makore’s group was allegedly en route to recover the body of fellow bandit leader Sani Black, killed earlier in Maru LGA, when they were ambushed.

“Kachalla Makore and his men were reportedly en route to recover the body of fellow bandit leader Kachalla Sani Black, who had been killed earlier in the Dan Sadau area of Maru Local Government Area,” Makama said.

” Sani Black was neutralized in Magama Mai Rake, a hotspot for bandit activity. Makore rose to power after predecessor Kachalla Damuna’s death and was notorious for his crimes around Kangon Garacci village.”
