Etihad has just announced the addition of 10 new routes to its flight network. The national airline of the United Arab Emirates is set to launch these in 2025, with the new routes flying out from its base airport in Abu Dhabi: Zayed International Airport.

New Destinations: Asia Inbound

Of the 10 new routes added, 7 are to East and South-East Asian destinations. These include Taipei, Hong Kong, Medan, Phnom Penh and Hanoi. Two Thai destinations will also be added: Chiang Mai and Krabi. The space for these route expansions has been made possible by Etihad’s large base airport, Zayed International Airport.

Etihad’s CEO Antonaldo Neves upholds the fact that Zayed Airport has ample space to support this rapid growth, and welcomes the expansion with open arms, commenting:

“2025 marks a pivotal year for Etihad, with more than 90 destinations in over 50 countries, a fleet of more than 110 aircraft – including our amazing new A321LRs – welcoming over 20 million guests onboard. Most importantly, it will support us in bringing over a million visitors to Abu Dhabi to enjoy our home.”

North Africa and the USA

In addition to the new Asian destinations, Algiers and Tunis will also be served by Etihad Airways from 2025. Surprisingly, one North American city is to be added: Atlanta. The state capital of Georgia is a key business and transportation hub in the south of the United States and is the only new American destination. Etihad already serves four other American destinations, including New York and Washington D.C.
