Barcelona must raise €60M to register Dani Olmo or risk losing player amid salary cap struggles – report

Barcelona face another financial hurdle as they work to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor before La Liga’s December 31 deadline.

Failure to do so would render the players ineligible for the rest of the season.

The Blaugrana are exploring legal measures, arguing that barring registration infringes on the players’ right to work.

However, their primary focus remains on meeting La Liga’s salary cap requirements.

According to Sport, Barcelona must generate €60 million to align their salary limit with their wage bill.

The club recently secured a fresh sponsorship deal with Nike but needs additional revenue to bridge the gap.

One potential solution according to Football Espana, involves selling the rights to VIP seats at Camp Nou for the next 20 years.

Such move could generate between €100 million and €200 million.

However, La Liga’s financial regulations require the revenue from such deals to be spread over the duration of the contract, limiting immediate impact.

With time running out, Barcelona’s financial team is racing against the clock to secure the necessary funds and avoid complications with player registration.
