Chelsea willing to offload Casadei, Chukwuemeka in January transfer window

Chelsea are set to trim their squad during the January transfer window, with midfielders Cesare Casadei and Carney Chukwuemeka among the players potentially heading for exits.

Casadei, who joined the Blues from Inter Milan in 2022 for £16 million, has struggled for first-team opportunities, making only 11 Premier League appearances, all as a substitute.

Torino are reportedly interested in the 21-year-old, who has previously spent loan spells at Reading and Leicester City.

A move to Serie A would mark a return to Italy for Casadei, although he never featured in the league during his time at Inter.

Meanwhile, Chukwuemeka could also leave if his £40 million release clause is triggered.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022, has been sidelined by injuries and has made just five appearances this season.

Barcelona, alongside other European and Premier League clubs, are long-term admirers of the young talent.
