Marcus Rashford has been issued a tough message by Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot following his surprise omission vs Manchester City.
Recall United staged a late comeback beating Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Manager Ruben Amorim made a bold statement by excluding Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, citing poor training performances as the reason.
The move paid off, with United sealing a dramatic late win at the Etihad.
Dalot, speaking after the match, emphasized the high standards under Amorim’s leadership.
“If you want to succeed at this club, you have to suffer,” Dalot said.
“If you’re ready to do that with us, we are going to be a good team. If not, there is no space for you.”
The Portuguese full-back stressed that Amorim’s expectations are non-negotiable.
“The message was clear from the beginning — success requires suffering, not just in football but in life.
“If you want success, you have to work hard and embrace the challenges,” he added.
