La Liga: Barcelona thrash Mallorca 5-1 to end winless streak

Barcelona returned to form in La Liga with stunning 5-1 thrashing of Mallorca at Son Moix, ending a three-game winless run.

The win strengthened their position at the top of the table, extending their lead to four points over Real Madrid, having played two more games.

Ferran Torres, making his first start in two months, opened the scoring early in the 12th minute after a defensive error by Johan Mojica.

Frenkie de Jong then notched his first goal of the season, easing the mounting pressure on him.
