A Nigerian man recently shared a heartbreaking experience on social media, recounting the tragic loss of his home to a fire.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he explained that while at work, he received a call notifying him that his house was burning.

Rushing home, he discovered that the fire had completely destroyed his property, leaving nothing but the clothes he was wearing.

In the emotional post, he wrote: “A tragic day I will never forget. Dec 20, 2024. I went to work, and around 4:55 p.m., my neighbor called to tell me my house was on fire. I ran like a madman, and when I arrived home, the entire compound had collapsed. I did not pick a pin from my room. Please pray for me.”

Days after the devastating event, the man took to social media to seek support, asking for financial assistance to secure a new apartment and begin rebuilding his life.

He shared: “Hi everyone. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share that my house recently burned down, and I lost everything in the fire except for the clothes I wore to work that day. I’m now in urgent need of funds to secure a new apartment and start rebuilding my life.”

As his post gained traction, many individuals flooded the comment section, expressing their sympathy and offering support during this difficult time.
