Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior, has expressed his desire to remain with the club “forever,” putting to rest rumours of a potential move to the Saudi Pro League.
The 24-year-old Brazilian, widely tipped as a favourite for the Ballon d’Or, made the statement following his hat-trick in Real Madrid’s 5-2 comeback win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Despite speculation earlier in the year linking him with Saudi clubs, Vinícius stated his commitment to Real Madrid.
“I want to stay here forever and contribute as much as possible to this team, which has given me everything since I arrived here.”
His hat-trick was crucial in Madrid’s comeback, and while he downplayed his individual performance, Vinícius acknowledged that coach Carlo Ancelotti is pushing him to do even more.
“Ancelotti told me to keep it up, that I can always do more,” he said.
Lucas Vázquez, who captained Madrid in the match, called his performance “unbelievable” and one that should serve as inspiration for young players.
