Ganduje returns to Kano for condolence visit

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, was greeted by a large crowd on Saturday as he arrived in Kano State.

According to reports, over a hundred people from the Bichi local government area gathered to welcome the former governor when he visited Bichi to offer his condolences and support to the victims and families affected by a fatal accident.

The accident involved a group of police officers returning from the Edo State governorship election last week.

It is worth recalling that five Nigeria Police Force officers tragically lost their lives in a road accident on the Zaria-Kano Road on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the security personnel were part of police officers deployed to Edo State during last Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

The spokesperson for the Kano State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), CRC Abdullahi Labaran, confirmed the sad incident in a statement made available to the media.

He noted that officers were returning from the recent governorship election held in Edo State when the tragic incident happened.
